Think a heating element helix wrapped around a tube. A helix of a helix. Or, how can I get the helix to follow a path other than a straight line?
I have been using Solidworks for 20 years, and never ran across this.

If you need more twists than the twist along path will give you, I've found that Curve through XYZ points is an easy way to get a lot of coils in a part. I would caution that after about 200 or so coils I often see wonky kinking, which if you're modeling a 'phone cord (the old handset cord, not a cell charging cord) adds to the realism.
This time it turned out OK. The sweep is suppressed on the attached file, or it would be way too big to post.

Finished. It turns out that SolidWorks has a limit of 36,000 degrees though. Had to use a linear pattern to finish. Thanks!
yep,.. "Holy - Offending word removed!".... although kewl.. this type of geometry can make any system crawl..
