Me and my friend are working on a solidworks project and we need your help.
we want to make a nylon fibers, similar to those on a tooth brush.
Any tips or suggestions?
Thanks, ofir and yarden.
Some very important steps if you are a NEW FORUM USER....
Sweep it or if they're all straight, extrude it.
You could also use an extruded surface and thicken it
Or Extrude a Square Block and then use a circle sketch to Cut Extrude Through All, Cut Flip Side
Extrude 1....then fill pattern.
Do you want to model whole tooth brush or just a nylon fiber?
To model a toothbrush, you need a certain level of SW skill to do it
First step is going thru the tutorial available from SW sofrware
and is it a roman tooth brush
or an oral test?
See #32 at FAQ - Part 2.
Sounds like your taking the same class with the young men that have the umbrella problem.
You can show the fibers as very tiny extruded cylinders, or have a larger extruded cylinder represent the entire tuft (tuft = group of bristles) . We never show individual bristles on a model since it would take to much time and effort to show them.
