Simple macro sometimes hangs waiting for user input - Server Busy

SW2018 SP1.0 on Win 10 with MS Office 2016

I have a simple recorded macro that:
- opens a part or assembly file
- opens a design table
- closes the table
- repeats for additional parts/assemblies

This updates externally linked cells in the design tables with a separate currently open Excel spreadsheet that drives the parameters in a number of parts and assemblies.

As with SW2016, SW2017, and now SW2018 I continue to get the following messages.

The macro pauses until I click “Switch To” then continues until it stops again on a different part or assembly or completes.  This happens when I Edit Table in New Window or not.  It doesn’t happen consistently all the time.  Usually, when I manually enter the same commands in the same order, I do not get these messages.

1. Does anyone know what causes this and how to prevent it.

2. Is it possible that the macro is running too fast?  If yes, is it possible to put 5 second delays in between lines in the macro?
