Hello All,

My company is deciding to install PDM and I've been put in charge of trying to update our SolidWorks Templates to work with the Vault.

Currently the templates are just generated from File>New and then selecting the respective template using custom properties to populate BOM as well as drawing title blocks.  My thoughts had been to simply create the files outside of the vault and then upon checking the file into the vault it would insert the information from the Custom Properties onto the PDM DataCards.

I've now been told that they want instead to be able to create SolidWorks files in a similar fashion to many of our other files by generating a new file inside the vault, rather than outside of the vault and checking in later.  The issue I am having with this is that if someone goes to use Make Assembly from part or Make Drawing from Part/Assembly it will need to pull the right templates which I only know how to set these up through the Default Templates and File Locations.  The problem is that even if I copy the templates location inside the vault into the URL for File Locations or Default Templates it gives me this error saying that it cannot find the files and gets in this endless loop so that the only way out is to crash SolidWorks.

Currently we use SolidWorks 2012 and we just got SolidWorks ePDM 2015
