On my current project, I have to make a basic mouse. Boundary surface allowed me to make the back part of the mouses curve, but the front part is refusing to cooperate. Can someone show me why I can't make a second curve on this mouse? Thank you.
In the curves selections, RMB the menu and select "SeletionManager" and start to select whatever you want
Is this what you want
That's close to what I want but I want the pink line of the curve to run along the edge of the mouse, similar to how the previous curve does. Thanks for helping though!
You mean like this
Yeah the side of the curve that closest to the camera is what I want. I'm not sure if the side of the curve that is further from the camera was a mistake or a side effect of the method you used. If possible, could you show me where I went wrong? Thanks for taking the time out to help me!
I only did one side so it's kind of funny look - here is the finished one on both sides
Basically, you just need to add guide curves for this feature
I seem to be making a more basic mistake than I thought. When I try to turn the sides of the mouse into guide curves, Solidworks tells me that something about the line is broken. Also, when I click the line, it auto selects the other line. As you can see, I have 2 "lines" in my guide curve area, whereas you have 3
You can use SelectionManager to select the guidecurve - see below image
I apologize for the basic questions, but I don't really understand what selection manager is, how to open it, or what to do with it. Could you provide a more detailed explanation please? Thank you again Christian
