hi everyone, I'm new to solidworks. Could anyone tell me why my mouse won't loft please?
No line here
that will do it every time.
first off you have lines in the middle of your "sketch1" that need to be made construction, you have the same thing in your "sketch3"
The line is there.. Just not showing up so well the the .png.
Try using the Selection Manager and using the closed loop option.
Then you probably will want to fiddle with the connectors to get what you want. Did you want a solid on this?? or surface?
Can you give me step by step instructions, i'm still struggling. I really appreciate your help.
I think you would be better served to look at the tutorials and probably get a much better understanding of what is going on. Pay attention to "Selection Manager" and "Connectors"..

But I can't help but wonder, "Isn't that your instructors job? Where is your instructor?"
Modeling a mouse is an advanced topic, has your instructor approved this project?
Has your instructor covered dimensioning of sketches?
You have great questions, but like other times - don't hold your breath till you get your answers........
My instructor to be honest hasn't taught us anything related to Solidworks. He basically gave us the program and got us to teach ourselves. Thankfully there's one lad who's repeating this year so he has basically singlehandedly taught us everything we currently know. And even his class from last year say that they had to do the project by learning about Solidworks themselves.

Why are there no dimensions on your sketches?
How big is your "mouse"?
What are your units of measurement?
