It appears this has happened before on occasion and the common remedy seems to be to alter the cutting plane slightly.

Section view comes if you have excluded a certain component. I do not know why?
Because you've not created that file correctly and that has corrupted it
Attach is how I would do it.
BTW the two fillets in your file would be hard to machine and not needed in my opinion.

I had removed them in my file.
