Customer wants to see license information by self Serial Number for own company.
CAN WE SEE THE LICENSE INFORMATION THROUGH CUSTOMER PORTAL,
BASICALLY HOW MANY LICENSE ARE THEIR, WHO IS USING CUSTOMER PORTAL .
I'm not 100% sure what you mean but if a customer is asking to see your serial number for SolidWorks then tell them to naff off!
Your serial number is private and relative to your company only, nobody else apart from perhaps your VAR should require this information.
I think the problem description might be confounded by 2nd language, but I can envision a scenario where I might request at least partial serial number license verification.
Suppose as a customer I am attempting to contract with another provider and don't want to expose my company to legal/financial risk that might be associated with the contractor using a pirated license for the contract. I would request some proof of valid license.
Can you provide more information on your issue?
Wow! If that's the case, can you imagine all the information you would want to request from your customer? Bank account info, credit card statements, receipts for their computers, proof of purchase of all their other software besides SWX, lease agreement or proof of building ownership, and don't forget to check their library account to ensure there are no late book returns...
The customer, in this case, just wants to know that their design vendor is using legit software.
A very valid request if I am paying someone to do design work for me.
I would not ask for a serial number, but I may want to know who their VAR is and I may call to make sure my vendor is legit.
If a customer is insistent on making sure I was correctly licensed and they were a valubale enough customer, then I would ask my VAR if they wouldn't mind sending the customer an email stating that I am SW current and SW kosher.
If there is a need to be more specific, like if I'm licensed for SW Electrical that's required for the job, then I would ask the VAR to also confirm that I am so licensed.
Details such as quantities of seats and SNs aren't of any value if the concern is to be certain you're dealing with reputable firms.
I can understand requesting such a verification for new business contacts, but if a basic, but authorative, VAR reply doesn't satisfy them, then I would see that as an indicator of future hassles on genuinely pertinent issues.

Just open your licence manager. Total number of licenses will be there.
Make a call to your VAR.
Hi Shaodun ,
Very good Morning & Happy New year .
My question is that is simple .
"Can customer see their license information through customer portal?"
I am not finding out the answer.
& so i believe it can be added advantage to our customer ..
still they can call VAR & find out the answer....
Yes, they can do it via SOLIDWORKS CAD Admin Dashboard
I have already search through " CAD ADMIN DASHBOARD " Still i am not find my answer.
can you please check & confirm it.
or else please open the license information then delete the your serial number & paste it. it will helpful to me.
The customer needs to have a login id on the customer portal. And then they can see all their licenses under My products.
And when they open the CAD Admin Dashboard, they can get details as which machine has has which serial number installed/activated and related details.
