Any one else experiencing the subject mentioned issue, in file types (drwprtasm)?
3 times in about 15 minutes.
As simple as the subject is the topic.
Well apparently a restart of the whole machine works just fine to resolve this...
Le'ts just call this "A corrupt SW session because I hadn't restarted already at least once this day because of 2017."
OVER AND OVER
yes I'm submitting every time.
I am thinking there may be a problem with the associated file being corrupted all of the sudden.....
Had several corrupt files. Happened when I was saving. Just closed out without saving and shut down. Lucky all mine if needed would be simple to replace. But so far it went ahead and saved them.
After booting back up they acted like nothing was wrong.
Could be a "corrupt" file. In a model, try suppressing all the features. In an assembly, suppress all the components. In a drawing, first try and save the part or assembly model used in the drawing. If that is okay, then delete all the views in the drawing and do a save as. If doing this solves your issue then you will have to determine the feature, component or view causing the issue. Unfortunately, sometimes suppressing/un-suppressing or deleting/un-deleting causes SolidWorks to rebuild the document correctly and you may never figure out what the issue is. I also recommend rebooting your computer before doing any of this in case the RAM memory was corrupted.
