Has anyone had a problem renaming part file names in PDM? We have renamed part file names in PDM with parts checked in. When assembly is opened afterwards, the parts references get all screwy. We have to go back and replace components to fix the assembly.

We have renamed file names before with no problems. This only happens every once in a while.

Steps we use are as follows:

- Close SolidWorks.

- Check-in files

- rename the file.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
