I am making a fan blade and I wanted to generate a flat pattern of it to compare to the original blade that I have. Is there a way to make a flat pattern from a curved part?

Hi timothy, If you model that as sheet metal you'll be able to flatten it.
Is there a way to convert it, or do I need to start over and create it as a sheet metal part? I have not done sheet metal parts in a long time.
You can convert. But I think you need to add a small flat area which I have added to one edge in the attached model.

Timothy,, here is one that is converted. No flat area Just reordered. Roll up the bar in the feature tree under your Boss-Extrude1 then do an Insert bends. Roll the bar back down and fix up your cut extrude. You probably will want to do a normal cut with these since it is sheet metal.
