Can't seem to shell this knitted surface together even before mirroring. I knitted together after mirror but still displays this message.
Can't be shelled inwards or outwards or both ways even when changing the thickness to .001
I can't try it without part file.
How do I attach an STL file?
Can I email the file to you? What's your address?
You can attach SLDPRT file here.
that because your mirror was not perfect
u then knitted it
at that point it most likely din`t become 1 single entity as a result u end up with 0 thickness as the thicken needs a direction to pull in it wil be prevented by the mirror because it wil try to mirror the results
it wil try to pull the left side up
and it wil try to pull the right side down witch is 2 different directions then what u are trying to pull to
its hard to explain this but hopefuly it makes sense
make shure your mirror is 1 single entity after knitting
then try again
..do a Tools/Check to find your "Minimum radius of curvature" (image attached) .. this will help you better understand the thickness range of your surface(s) ..
Actually even before mirroring the surface when shell but I'm going to worry about shelling at the very end.
No luck. I am going to shell everything together at the very end but know when I try to knit additional surfaces, it will not let me. I've loosened the gap tolerance but still no success.
Also when I try to continue lofting other parts, adding the guide curves immediately cause the loft to fail.
Can I email you the file?
