Can someone tell me the difference between workflow action / send email vs notification
send email uses your email host (if you set it up that way, in Message system) vs Notification is inside PDM. We are using the Notifications to keep the automated emails we already get separate from our PDM Notifications. I might not have the terms exactly correct, still in the migration process.
The "Send Mail" action in the Transition Options uses what ever Message System you have setup (either Database or SMTP).
