My SW2012 keeps crashing. I would like to reinstall SW but don't know how. Can anyone give me a step by step instruction please or point me to any link? Thank you
VAR is the reseller who you got the software - Open your SW folder from start and select Solidworks Rx to run it. The send the result, which should include the crash report, to your VAR
and here is the Rx dialog box
You still have the DVD?
However, before uninstalling /reinstalling SW, r u sure there are something else which cause SW crashing?
Yes. I do with the serial number, product ID etc...
I don't know why SW keeps crashing. (It actually happen too often this week ) Here what happened.
I have a large assembly files. I created a 5 pages drawing and I pull in all the view from various assemblies. After redline update, everything was fine yesterday. I had to update one item today on that drawing but I had no luck. I could not open the drawing itself or open it within SW. I ran SW repair earlier. Restart my PC couple times but the repair did not fix the problem.
who's your VAR - First I think you'd better run the Rx and send out the report to them for more investigation. I know you don't believe if but .NET or outlook might be the cause of the crashing.
By the way, can you post your computer spec here?
I'm not positive if uninstalling/reinstalling SW would solve the crashing problem
Does this help? Thanks
I am not using window 10.
Thank you Richard.
My current issue is I don't know why SW crashes too often.....
Did you run Rx and send the result to your VAR?
What is VAR? Is Rx is report?
You are genius! It works! Thank you very much
