Hi all,

I have a part of which currently the planes are skewed:

As seen in this picture, the front plane is not lined up with the left and right side of the part.

Ideally, I would want planes like this:

Here the front plane (=plane 3) is lined up to the sides of the part and I have two additonal planes that are centered in the part.

With my current model I have difficulties as it has a curved surface on the edge:

What would be a good way to go about this? I tried adding reference planes by first drawing lines on the edges of the part, but the planes are still skewed. The part is a scanned object so there are some curves in the part that make it difficult I think.
