Hi every body .
Can anyone help me to model the attached part (that is modeled by point cloud .
I'm not sure I understand your requirement. That's a Solidworks part. What other model do you need?
It is a body and i want a part with features .
I just started. Let's see how it goes.
I have problem with the zone that be shown in the attached pic (it is combine of sweep and loft )
What part of the model do you find difficult to model?
Mostly the hose.
IT is not an easy job.
Create ref. planes on key sections of the hose.
Play with the 3D sketch to create a path and use swept to create the house.
Could please attach your sld.prt file .
That is a pretty complex hose. Are all the wide spots where the flanges connect part of the hose? It seems like it is probably a metal pipe that is somehow welded together or something. Do you have a picture of the actual part that you can show us? Is there a reason it has to change size and shape so many times? Is there a requirement for the inside shape? Oh, I guess it could be a molded plastic tube.
It is a plastic pipe that be produced by Air assistance molding .
I want to model 1 part with bracket . You dont have to model the actual dimension , i have trouble with the features that make it .
Can you contact the owner of the IP and request a parametric model?
I have got to a point where you can, at least, see what features make the model.
For some reasons, I just can't find a way to attach the SLDPRT part here. Can someone teach me how, please?
You have to switch to the Advanced Editor in the reply box to be able to attach something. When you switch it will add the attachment button to the lower right corner of the window next to @ Mention.
And you can't do that from inside your inbox. You first need to click on the header of the thread to open it separately outside your inbox.
Not really sure why this is a limitation, but it is.
Here is a modification of the imported file with none of the extra bits, just the pipe with no fillets.
I will see if I can start creating the sweeps or lofts now. It will probably take a lot of plans places at weird places.
The geometry might not be exactly the same as it was before they added the fillets. It is going to be impossible to get the exact same geometry that you started with, but it should be close.
When I tried out the GeoMagic demo they had a specific evaluation tool that would compare your model to the mesh data. It was real neato.
There you have it. That's how far I've come.
Overall it is looking good, but I suggest using the curvature button under evaluation to check for problems.
so what u want is to devide the part u attached into seperate parts ?
if so that would be easy
i see this part is not hollow do u want to hollow it out so its a pipe ?
mayby u want to make this a sldprt part ?
because i see this is imported
here is some advice on this rather dificult partdevide the part into to seperate pieces this way its more easy to draw it u can then make a assembly out of them to make shure the fit is right
this model wil take allot of features within solidworks to produce but try to keep it stupid simple
