I am trying to fill the holes using the filled surface command one by one
is there a better way to fill all the holes at one and supress the lines
you could use the untrim feature
Thank you so much Tom
Select the edge of the hole, right-click, "Edge" delete, delete hole.
Thank you chris, even this also worked
Why don't you just suppress the hole feature?
The cut holes are already in the model. I am doing simulation to represent these holes with fasteners(Bolts or Rivets)
I am trying to create a 3d point at the holes and fill the hole and build the Fe mesh there so that I can get the forces there
You can still be able to create 3D points after suppressing the feature. Not sure if I'm missing something here?
I am using the Following Command
Insert-> Reference Geometry-> Points
Step1-And selecting the Each hole one after another.
Step2-Delete the Holes as said in this post by using untrim or right click delete option
Step3 covert the point created(step2) to hard point so that a reference node will be created during FE modelling
I am using the Following CommandInsert-> Reference Geometry-> PointsStep1-And selecting the Each hole one after another.
You don't need to select the hole for inserting point
You can turn on the sketch visibility and select the point form the sketch for your ref.
but it is not showing anything
Please see the att. image - make sure the sketch visibility is on
yeah, it is ON. but it is not showing
\I assume I need to crate 3d points
Are you sure "Hide All Types" is not checked
Delete face command. With fill and patch selected. Just select all the sidewalls of the holes and Viola!
