when designing in body position of a part can you add a new working ucs without moving the part out of body position?
yeah I know that but it does not become a working ucs, Like designing in body position, I can add that but then if I want that as my working ucs for all of my parts I have to move the part out of body position and I don't want to.
can you be more specific about what you mean by "working UCS"? because what Kevin Chandler suggested appears to "work"...
well, you cannot move the origin or the default planes. you can add coordinate system(s) and planes, and also hide the originals. you can also redefine the front, top, etc. views. is this what you are looking to do?
Are you trying to work with something like this in order to place your parts?
Personally, I have found it to be a pretty cool feature but it seems to flip directions sometimes.
Make sure not to have multiple configurations if you build this using the skeleton method. SolidWorks has a hard time working out the skeleton method within multiple configurations.
Hello,
You can add a new coord system:
I hope this helps,
