Client Activity Log

I am trying to determine what actions led to the inadvertent loss of files.  The user explains himself as having done everything properly, but something has gone awry (in another post).  I am wondering if there is a log anywhere that might have recorded actions at a lower level (more than what the transaction history shows) that might show system feedback (i.e. errors, etc) that might lead us to recreating the problem so that it can be avoided in the future. 


This would be for PDM client activity.  Perhaps even save records for the missing files.
