anybody have an good reviews of solidprofessor.com? Or any other online, self-paced training?
I used SW extensively in 2005-2007 but feel lost now.
We use it here and I think it is a great training tool. It not only has Solidworks but a lot of other training videos of other Engineering software.
Solidprofessor is a good program.
In addition, they offer 5 free lesson from each course under basic (free membership).
Do you folks use the premium package? Is it only good for one individual or a team of 4? and at $79 a month, can you cancel whenever?
When I used for learning it was $500 a year. When I've used to teach it was $50 a year for the students.
If you get 4 seats you get an admin seat also. The adiminastrator can set up different training group courses. The admin can also monitor to see if the people being training are staying on schedule. The is a lot offered with the admin tool which you get if you have 4 or more licenses. No canceling, you buy a year you get a year. You are allowed not to renewal at the end of your year. Try the free lessons as Deepak has suggested.
I had the opportunity to go through the Fundamentals class through my VAR a long time ago and it was well worth it. However, since then I've been to other companies that would not spend a nickle on training so we used the built-in SWX tutorials, which are great. SolidProfessor is very very good. SolidWorks is even using their stuff for the new (recent, at least) online training available here: http://my.solidworks.com/training/catalog/list/1?&category=f%2Fdb_record_subtype%2FLessons
Training | MySolidWorks. They have a lot of free stuff there as well as paid training. I just recently found out about this myself.
