Hi all,
Is it possible to display some or all configurations in a single SolidWorks part document or assembly for geometry comparison ?
I would like also to set the configurations (except the default one) transparent.
So I would like to have something like in this image http://www.enginsoft.it/applications/img/piaggioaero02.gif
Many thanks,
What Josh Brady said. If you want some of them transparent that's also easy enough to do in the Assembly (click on the components you want transparent and choose the "Change Transparency" icon.
If you want to use this in a Drawing the transparency will only work for shaded siews. If you want line views in the Drawing instead of shaded, with dotted lines for some instances, you could insert the drawing view, select the instances of the component that you want a different line type, and right-click. Choose "Component Line Font" from the drop-down. That will bring up the dialog box shown below. I had previously used it to change the line style and thickness of the truck on the left (but leaving the default for the one on the right), but I brought it back up for this screenshot. Please note that "From selection" is selected near the bottom. "All views" will be selected by default; if you leave it then the changes you make will apply to all instances of the component instead of just the ones you selected.
