Once I have inserted a design table, and entered the parameters for my instances and then leave the table by clicking on the design area, I am unable to reopen the table by RH clicking the 'design table' tab and then clicking edit table. Nothing happens when trying to edit in new window either. Help would be much appreciated!
Sounds like the excel window may still be open. A little more info would be nice...SW ver. and if it is a part or assembly.
When creating parts in a design table I would model part 1 then depending on the info I have at hand I would create another configuration, trying to hit any and all dims that would or could change. Then I would let SolidWorks create the design table. I would then close it and then open it in excel. The add the 10 to 20 configurations to it. I also learned to save the table out to the desk top just incase there was an error and it did not make all the configurations. This way I could open the table back up and then open the file I saved fix what caused the error and then paste it into the table file.

I can create a table fine initially but the issue arises when I then go back to edit the table. a green confirmation tick appears on the top right-hand side of the page, as usual, but then disappears after a few seconds.
Hi Kevin, im not sure that its the part that is the problem - i have tried with different parts and the problem persists.
Crazy thing here....is excel open? try closing it out and then edit the table in a new window...
are you seeing this window? when trying to edit the table.

That window opens when I go to edit the table for the first time, and it gives me the option to enter the parameters etc. and as seen in the screenshots, I am able to initially create a table. It is after I have exited the view that I am unable to return to edit.
Always edit the Design Table - "Edit Table in New Window"
this doesnt work either, no window opens
