struggling to understand why my model won't knit together, it comes up with error messages but I can't understand where the problem is?
I removed this surface knit worked.
I've just opened solidworks to follow your instructions, but i'm confused as to where to find the overlapping surface that needs deleting, I can't find a surface 36 on my feature tree? is it a surface trim i'm looking for?
I found two surfaces were overlapped each other therefore I delete it. I am not concern about surface 36 or design tree.
Your problem starts with Surface 36, where it creates a second surface.
I rolled back to where you Mirrored the main surface (body of the bottle). Then deleted one of the Surface 36 (top section of the bottle) Then I Knitted those surfaces together.
Once you created the top part of the bottle and extended that through the main body of the bottle I knitted those surfaces together.
By then doing a Surface Trim using the Mutual type, this automatic knits the two surface bodies together.
You seem to have a whole lot of additional surfaces created by the extend & trims after that which I just deleted to end up with a single surface body
thank you so much! that makes sense as to why it wouldn't work now thank you
