When I import a screw from the library I give "Failed to get writable document!" And shut down the program What should I do? Something happened with the program?
could you attach the file ?
I upgrade from SW 2014 to SW 2015 last year.
I can open the screw by itself.
Can you attach the file(s)...
You using a toolbox screw?, downloaded screw?
Is your library up to date?
Are you creating a Derived part?
Can you open the screw by itself?
wow this sounds like fun. That pesky fastners....
#1 active add-ins....do you have the tool box checked?
#2 system options. collaboration about 4 up from the bottom of the list.
is this enabled?
add...is toolbox configured correctly...
so you have the tool box active.
try to bring in the part and it crashed
Go over the mountain if you cant get around.
open the screw...
open the assembly
then insert the screw into the assembly.
I'm good...the question was posted by Bajenaru Valentina
sounds like you may have lost your tool box.
if you did not move your tool box to the server and left it in the default location it is quite possible that it was lost.
with 100's of bolt holes to fill, at one place I worked I created a toolbox bolting part-assembly. much easier to work with than the mega 300ft long assembly that needed to be bolted together. There I had a plate with a hole from the hole wizard and then created my bolt stack. I managed to save each part of the bolt stack out to the project file and at least got a good count on how many bolts where needed....
