I'd like to run the Autodesk task scheduler - part of Inventor 2016.
It needs to access files with the PDM folder but just hangs.
What is it looking for?
I think your in the wrong place go to the autodesk inventor forum those folks can help you
Thankyou - but places sharing Autodesk & Solidworks products are few & far.
You need the Autodesk add-in (for SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional only) for the SOLIDWORKS files. You would have to contact your SOLDIWORKS VAR for that.
Autodesk Inventor Add-in (For SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional only)
The add-in has always been present.
Your computer hanged for 1.5 years?
How do you get the 'Open' dialog?
You trying to create a new task?
Task Scheduler use the Project File for file locations.
Are you using the correct Project?
You using SW PDM?
I've just suffered for 1.5 years.
With you Inventor task scheduler could you please point it to a file within the PDM working folder?
Here it will just crash without trace.
Just testing it again as 2018 is being introduced.
I don't have PDM.
I can look into network drives.
You should contact Autodesk or Dassult or your VAR for solution.
Can you go into PDM with file explorer?
Does PDM require login?
Thankyou for trying & that is the problem - the developers of PDM & Task Scheduler have never met (is my guess).
PDM is the solidworks equivalent of autodesk Vault (or vice versa) - task scheduler is a great piece of software.
I guess you're running with Vault?
Nop, no Vault, no PDM.
Go to AutoDesk Inventor Forum, someone there could help.
I've seen people using PDM with Inventor there.
The case has been closed by Autodesk - they suspect the issue is with PDM....
