Possible to offset weldment members?

Besides adding additional sketch points, is there any way to offset a structural member in Weldments, allowing a bolted connection?

Example: two angles, perpendicular to each other. One resting on the flange of the other.

We currently export DXF data from RISA 3D, which provides the basic ‘structure’ (paths) for the design, but this does not take into account for fit-up.

In the ‘theoretical’ world of DXF an unlimited number of members can run through a single point.

But in the real world, no 2 parts can take up the same space.

I can lay out the members using the DXF paths, but some members need to sit on top of others.

Is there an easy way to do this, other than adding to the profile sketches?

There could potentially be a lot of variables to take into account if all options had to be added to the profile sketch.

Thanks in advance!
