Flow Simulation - Water Suction by Vacuum

    Lakhvinder Singh

      Hi All,

I am new to flow simulation, and try to study a piece of equipment which will be used subsea (I have made a simple model, attached file). The issue is that I think some holes are sucking less water, compared to others. All we know is that the vacuum pump is sucking water at 200 liters per minute. The question here is to find out how much amount of water is each hole sucking?

      1. Can someone advice how to set this model up? Inlet/Outlet, Mass/Volume Flow?

      2. Environment pressure?

      3. Goals?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

      Regards,

      LS

For your general questions I recommend you go over the built in tutorials first. It seems like you are still new to this program and you can help yourself a lot more than we could at this stage by going through the basics.

As for the specific question of how much water is in each inlet, simply use lids on those areas and create mass flow goals for each one.
