HOW TO RESIZE AN INSERTED EXCEL SPREADSHEET THAT IS LINKED?

Question asked by Anthony Macke on Nov 9, 2017

I am inserting an existing excel spreadsheet into my drawing via the "insert objects" dialog box.

the table inserts as shown here:

so far so good.

now, I want to resize the table so that all the empty cells aren't showing:

this is gravy, as all you have to do is double click the table, resize the visible window, and it reflects back to the drawing.

The problem I'm having is, I want my table to be "linked" to the existing excel spreadsheet so that it reflects changes made to the excel spreadsheet on the drawing.

With my "linked" table, if i double click it to try and resize it, it opens the table in excel for editing.

so how do i get rid of all the empty cells on my "linked" inserted excel spread sheet??

table on the left is not linked, i can adjust the "visible area" just fine.

cant figure out how to do it on the right, linked, table.
