Maha I have mine set up to use the "M" key on the keyboard for the measure tool. Just another suggestion you might like.
Problem is, if there is no relevancy it is difficult to find out from a bunch of categories for a novice.
If you look through the list of Categories under the Commands tab, which Category makes the most sense for the Measure Tool?
Isn't there supposed to be a way to type in a command (e.g. Measure) in the search box at the top right of the window and have the software show you where the command is located in the menu structure?
I don't know how to do it, I just remember something in a Youtube or something.
Yes in the command search.
Try hitting the "s" key and typing "measure." If you click the eyeball, a red arrow will show you where the command is in the UI (and expand any menus needed to do so.
Alternatively, you can click the drop-down arrow next to the search box and change it to "Commands" and then "measure."

Kevin Berni beat me to it - but this happens to be part of the second tip for #SLUGME next week.
(I'm always surprised by the number of people that don't know that "s" activates the command search.)
Hit enter after you type the full command and it will start the command.
Click the area that shows the command & icon and it will start the command.
and, like Kevin said, click on the eyeball and it will move the cursor to where the command is, put a big red arrow next to it, AND if you don't move your mouse, you can just click the left mouse button to start the command.
It is all of these little details that make it so awesome . . .
Another fun-fact: You can customize the behavior of activating the command search when you launch the shortcut toolbar (S-key).
Under Tools>Customize>Shortcut Bars, you will see the following checkbox.
So if you want "s" to both display and dismiss the shortcut toolbar (if you don't choose a command) you can un-tick this box.

And, you can drag and drop the commands from the search results to customize them onto toolbars. So simply do a search for Measure, and drag and drop it from there onto the toolbar where you want it (no need to go to the customize dialog). Unfortunately, it does not appear to be working to drag and drop it to the heads-up view toolbar....looking into that now.
By the way...all of this is documented in the following topic (and related topics as listed on the right, or surrounding this one in the table of contents):

How to move this to here?
Hi Maha,
If you want to move it, just hold the Alt key and drag it from the existing location to the new one and drop it. That can be done without having to open the customize dialog or using Command Search. If the customize dialog is open, you can move from one location to another by dragging and dropping it without holding the Alt key. As documented here:
