I have a problem concerning linear patterns I cannot seem to be getting it right ,can someone please point out my mistake.I am actually trying to make a
double rack with two spur gears rolling on it .
..if I/we use your shown spacing/pitch of (.96850394) it will not work as is.. but, if you check "Geometry pattern" it will allow for the overlap.
..so, what is the spacing?... that is, if I assume.. it would be about 1.15826?.. and, with that pitch it will solve (w/o geometry pattern)

In the image you attached - the Direction box is empty?
That one was a mistake, but even after that it still gives me the rebuild error !
Thank you !! Sir ,I made a mistake in the direction part and did not take the edge into account ,can you tell me what was the difference between using it normally and with geometry pattern . Secondly I have been taking random values , I couldn't google any double racks with pinion so had no sense of direction !
What is the pitch and the pitch diameter of your spur gear.
The difference between NOT using Geometry Pattern and using Geometry pattern is described here pretty well:

Basically it is a difference in patterning the FEATURE vs patterning the geometry (ignoring the feature constraints/functions)

So, I have been this far into making it ,but somehow I can't seem to fix the rack or spur gear when Im trying to rotate it.Secondly I want to copy the whole thing so that I can make a box rotating on a rack.I did this by looking at video's and they didnt draw any pitch circles. Of course Im missing on alot of things and I need to understand more ,can someone help me on this and point out the flaws.
Where are your parts for this assembly?
