SolidWorks. The automatic says I have too many activations. (untrue) It's still the same PC as last time. It keeps failing when Windoze upgrades. Then again I haven't used the s'ware since May. So it made me reinstall it again. I can say I've reinstalled more times than I've used it in the past year. All I need to do is examine one stupid IGES file.
I don't have a reseller. By that I mean that my reseller sold his SW franchise and no longer has any affiliation.
If you send the Iges file to my email jjffiigg@yahoo.com I open it and create a pdf or a dwg file for you sometime tomorrow...
You can try to search to find the New VAR that covers your area and ask for their help.
When you get the "too many activation's" message it means that you had not transferred your license off your computer before you had removed and reinstalled it so it thinks it is already active.
It needs to be reset.
The new activation system requires that there is only one active seat with your license number, if you didn't de-activate and try to re-activate you get problems.
A good VAR will help you through this - since your old VAR no longer is there, there is no conflict.
They may try to get you to update or get a new sub. but they should still be nice enough to reset your activation even if you say no to the update.
If you don't know your local VAR you can post where you are located and may get a response of someone telling your the local VAR's to you and/or you can go on the Solidworks web site and request to find a local var.
If you have a my.solidworks.com login, you may be able to find online service.
