I'm looking for a new mouse and was wondering if anyone uses a vertical mouse.
Yes. Use it every day and like it a lot. I like the programmable buttons, saves a lot of time.
A former co-worker of mine had one on her computer and I wasn't impressed by it when I used her computer... The free mice from Dell were more accurate and responsive. That was back in 2012-14, maybe they have improved since then. Personally I have found the 3DConnexion CadMouse to be excellent and they now offer a wireless version at no extra cost.
I use a Evoluent Vertical Mouse 4 right hand every day. Took a bit to get used to, but it is a lot more comfortable on my wrist.
Is the responsiveness and resolution good? They don't have any specs on their web site.
Don't know what the specs are, but I haven't hand any problems. The mouse has buttons to increase/ decrease the pointer speed, so you can easily adjust without going to control panel.
I used to swear by a Logitech MX 518, but started having major arm pains after several years. I now only use the Evoluent Vertical Mouse 4 right hand. It definitely feels much cheaper in quality and has a lower fit and finish compared to the Logitech, but I haven't had any issues with responsiveness or resolution. Plus it has eliminated my arm pain which is probably the biggest take away. The Evoluent Mouse Manager (their control software) is decent enough that I can customize the buttons for use in SolidWorks which keeps me happy.
