i have found a one problems of solidworks 2017 sp1, when i make a sketch (example ) and i give a dimension of 10.2 but, this point is not showing on the sketch,solidworks drawings and PDF file also i don't no what is the problem please help me. and screenshots i will give you below

I don't remember ever seeing, and can't find, a setting that will hide the decimal point on dimensions. Can you post one of your drawing files here for us to test. Maybe we can determine if it's a setting, or if there's a problem with your machine? On second thought, here's a blank drawing with my template. Open it, add a drawing view, and see if the decimal point shows up.
What do you have set here?

I'd never noticed that setting before, and thought you had the answer, but when I checked I don't have it selected on my machine and the decimal point is still there.
Right, but what if you make this box blank while you have it unchecked?
If I uncheck it, and then put a space in there, then I get what the OP has:
But if I check it, then it uses my windows settings. If I uncheck it, then it will use what ever I place in there.

That worked for me too. Earlier I had tried typing a blank there, but had tried with the box checked.

I tried to find a solution to the OP's problem for half an hour on Friday and I couldn't even replicate it.

For anyone that's following this, I tried what Dan Pihlaja said. I un-checked that box and entered a space instead of the period. Huh, that works. No big surprise because as far as I know he's always right. Then I opened Options again and added the period back in to return to normal operations. All good, right? No, it wasn't. I was still getting the space instead of the period. I opened up Options again and it showed the blank again. It turns out that after un-checking the box and adding the period I had to check the box again for it to work. At least that's how it worked for me. Others may get different results.

I found the same thing Glenn. In order to switch back, I had to cycle through checking it and then unchecking it.
I'm just curious as to why this is even a setting? I don't think I've ever come across a situation where hiding the decimal point would be desired.
In Europe they use a comma as decimal point. I don't know about other countries but maybe that's the reason.
Aw I didn't realize that you set the symbol that you'd like to use. That seems a bit odd, as I know that commas and periods/decimal points are common, but what other symbols that would require an option to set it? Interesting.

Go through the options here
When you have them corrected - do yourself a big favor and save your settings using the SW Settings WIzard
