How can we get the external surface area of Hollow weldments? For example 125x125x5mm SHS. I used the mass properties function under Evaluate feature, however solidworks will give or calculate the internal and external surface area of the hollow section. So i have no choice but to use the measure command since my model only compose of 3 Hollow section.

Apparently this is not advisable if we will be required to check the External surface area of a large assembly of hollow weldments.

Anyone can give me an advise please on how to get the external surface area for a particular hollow section, other than using the measure tools?
