I am using solidworks 2016.
Option to align a drawing view to model edge and rotate to clock/counter clock wise option is grayed out.
These options are only available for Section and Auxiliary views as far as I know
Did you select ctrl (hold) and then select the drawing view and the model edge??
No i have just simply selected an edge in drawing view and trying to rotate.
If you're just trying to rotate a view use this
I think that is the only option left for now. But do you know how can i turn this on?
I must have some settings turned off or on.
Tools/Customize/Commands/View and select from the list and drag/drop in the flyout toolbar
I meant the grayed out options from initial question.
If it's grayed out, then either your selection is wrong or your idea of how it's supposed to work is wrong, no in between.
I dont know, i started brand new drawing, dropped of independent view and tried to rotate but still option is grayed out.
If you would upload a complete Screen Shot or a screen recording, we might be able to understand what you're trying to do, otherwise we are stabbing around in the dark and the target is nowhere near us...
That was the case, i never realized that i have always used that on section view.
Thank you both of you for helping me out, you guys are helpful as always.
