When I insert a picture into a drawing sheet, it comes with a box around it. Is there anyway to remove or hide the box? See below.
Are you certain the border isn't in the jpeg? I do not get that behaviour, and I can't find a way to force a border on an image either.
Consider making a block of the view instead. Go to the drawing you created the image from, right click the view and select 'convert view to sketch', then select 'replace view with block' in the dialog. RThen save the block in a handy place and you can use it all the time, and get vector images if you export your drawing to pdf or similar.
what file type is the image you're inserting Stephen?
Could you share it?
It's just a jpeg. It's going into a standard drawing sheet that will be used for assembly instructions.
If you are looking for a detail for the drawing, you could insert it into a part and use the picture to sketch function in the part to create a sketch of the picture and then add to the drawing.
It's already a 3D solid, I just want an image to insert into an instruction sheet. I guess I could create a drawing view and paste that into the sheet but I was hoping to use the image because sizing to fit an area is easier.
I like that solution; just a little bit of a work around. I'm using SW2015 still so there may have been improvements in image handling since then.
David, thanks for your help as well, it's much appreciated.
