I bet and hope this is a really simple thing to address. I am creating a drawing with an enlarged detail view. The lined image on the left is adequate, but I need it to be shaded. The shaded version is unacceptable. This is in a drawing file and you can see I maxed out all the performance and image settings I knew to adjust. My computer is new with a kick-ash Quadro P3000 video card and the driver is approved.
Can someone tell me how to get the shaded view to have a resolution similar to the lined view? I cannot post the files, but this question should not need them anyway. Thanks in advance.
So now that I have re-read your post.....
I was using Shaded with Edges style in my original video (like you said above) and I was able to fix it using the view setting.
Now that I am looking at it again, I checked my own part with SHADED style and I couldn't get it to look good, because there is no setting.
However...
I went back to my part (not the drawing) and updated the Image Quality settings and it fixed my drawing. See attached video.
So to summarize: It looks like the image quality of the shaded view of a Solidworks drawing is pulled from the part level image quality, not the drawing level image quality.
I wonder if this is intended behavior?
