FYI: Selecting loft guide curve swaps control points

FYI: Many times I've encountered the problem that when doing a loft I will select the direction of the green control points (Figure 1) but when a guide curve is selected the orientation of some of the control points will swap (Figure 2) and I can't correct them afterwards. I've found that a undetermined combination of where you click on the guide curve to select it, the angle of the camera, and the zoom level changes how the control points swap. So hopefully if you encounter this problem yourself by changing the camera angle and where your click on the guide curve you may be able to find a orientation which doesn't swap the control points.

I am running: SolidWorks 2017 SP2.0, Windows 10, on a laptop, 8GB ram, HD Graphics 530 Graphics card, Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU, with a know SolidWorks - graphics card incompatibility.
