Hi Is it possible to step through the exploded views steps one at a time? I would like to look at clearances at one of the intermediate steps.

Yes you can
- go to the Configuration Tab
- go to your explode view and click RMB "edit Feature"
- Select your exploded step in the box "explode steps" an click RMB "edit step"
- now you can add or remove things to explode step and you can change things as direction, distance, rotation and angle.

Hi Joop, Thanks, that is a valid work around and I actually already did that to view the clearances I was interested in. I had to change the step after the one I wanted to examine to zero and hit apply to it then when I was done I exited the edit process without saving and everything was back to normal. However, what I would like is an option to step through the explode steps one at a time like animate with an option to stop after each step. As it stand now you just have to be quick with the pause button. Seems like it would be easy functionality to add. Anyone at Solid Works listening?
Hello Brain,
I don't know if thats in. I've never seen it.
Maybe you can do something with motion or somebody else has an other solution
But I Agree with you, a "next step" and a "previous step" button would be helpfull
I do know that if you select an Exlode step the components are highlighted on the screen.
you can also move this step up or down bij click and hold LMB, but maybe you know this already.
