We have a revision table on our drawings. We have been adding rows to the table using add revision. If we have the revision property not blank in our drawing, adding a revision row updates the revision property. Is it possible to turn this off?
Where this is causing a problem, we have "draft" revisions prior to a release. So, revision 1 will have "Draft A" that is sent out for initial check and approval. The rev history table will show the rev as "Rev 1 Draft A". We want the revision in the bottom right corner of our title block to only show Rev: 1 (where 1 is the value in the revision custom property). When we put the "Draft A" after the rev 1 in the revision table, the revision property gets updated to what we typed into the revision table.
Is there an option to turn off this behavior? Or do we have to just enter rows rather than revisions on our revision table?
Thanks,
Carrie
Carrie Ives,
Just saw this question while looking for something else, so sorry for a long delay!
The only thing I can think of would be to associate your Revision in the title block to a different custom property. eg TitleBlockRevision.
A change in your revision table would then not affect your title block. However there would be no link when you create "Rev 2" so you would have to update the title block property as well..
I know that is not exactly what you want but it would stop your current frustration.
