I'm trying to animate my assembly and the tool for Explode Line sketch is greyed out. It's a pretty important function as my assignment is due this Sunday. Any help is appreciated
Screen shots of what your working with would help, where is your instructor??
This is what I'm seeing, note that I cannot click the Explode Line Sketch option
Explode the assembly.
It doesn't look exploded.
Then try it.
I'm outta breath.
I've asked 2 TA's already to no avail, this forum is my only hope
First you need to Explode your assembly.. If you have the assembly exploded now, but are showing it above in the collapsed state then explode it first and then the Sketch will be active..
Have you exploded your assembly yet? If you haven't added an exploded configuration (exploded view), then Explode line sketch will remain greyed out.
I can do Exploded views, but I need to use the feature Explode Line Sketch
Just to re-inforce Dan Pihlaja and John Stoltzfus suggestions. You need to have the explode active for the explode sketch function to be accessible. If the explode it there, but you have the assembly collapsed it won't work.
Please see the attached video. You will see that mine is also greyed out until I actually have my assembly exploded.
