Hi,
I am trying to understand creating glass like appearances. Thus I wanted to start with a generic appearance and try and turn it into one of the library glass materials such as transparent glass. However, I can not seem to recreate it exactly.
My question is - Can I recreate a glass appearances using generic appearance or is there some limitations to generic appearance?
Thanks
John
Hi John,
Technically you should be able to re-create almost any appearance using a 'generic' appearance. However with very specialized appearance types, such as glass, it's best to use the proper Glass appearance type. That also simplifies the available settings per each appearance type, making it easier to dial in that perfect appearance.
