I have an older copy of the freeware MZ-Tools 3 for VBA and I'd like to use in the VBA IDE within Solidworks.
I have installed it, but no joy in the Solidworks VBA IDE. Does it work within Solidworks?
Can you not locate the tlb files and load them in VBA?
Here's the files that I have in the install. It won't let me create a TBL file from the DLL file using the "regasm.exe" command.
I'm using Windows 7 (64 bit).
RegAsm MZTOOLS3VBA.EXE /MZTOOLS3VBA.tlb ?
This is the command that I am using...
regasm.exe /codebase MZTools3vba.dll /tlb:MZTools3vba.tlb
“Failed to load MZTools3vba.dll because it is not a valid .NET assembly”
make sure you have .net 3.5
make sure this is checked
see if this is the case.
it may be trying to register but needs the old regasm.
Good point use regasm in this folder: c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\RegAsm.exe
what are you trying to achieve?
Well, obviously, that dll is not a valid .NET assembly. What are you trying to achieve with this tool. Perhaps I can help you otherwise. Is the purpose of this question how to install that tool or are you trying to use it in order something else ultimately?
I'm trying to install the tool so I can use it in the Solidworks VBA IDE. I still write VB6 code and it works well there. I might just take the leap to version 8 and quit trying to be so cheap. Thank you for all your help!
did you read my post above?
it should fix your issue.
