tongue in cheek help- hopefuly kelef
thank you for your reply/enquirey
(already/just seen John's reply)
real short and sweet-
if experiences/solutions are posted to
the kitty, they may not be seen in that thread
by those who need/want them
I can take the flak,
better than some- when not
I just go back to other things kelef
I have not had problems adding content to the equation manager.
Could you please provide more information about the problems you are having?
Start by telling us what you would like to accomplish with the equation manager and we will be able to give you more advice. Including pictures and screenshots of the problem you are having will help too.
thank you for your inquirey
but unfortunately this is all the
information I can supply atm
as I do not have access to the system
I was just hoping there would be some
suggestions I could try- or any one else,
if they were also having an issue,
but most gracious of you to reply/enquire kelef
I get it. A fine and pleasant example. Kudos to you Sir Kelef.
I have gotten frustrated with selecting dims in equations.
When you want to add a dimension into the equation, but the dims are not showing.
So you click on the feature to show the dims...
but SW adds the feature name instead of waiting for the dim.
No matter how much you click on the dim, SW will not change the string...
so you click in the equation field and erase the string.
Now you can click on the dim and SW will input the correct dim string.
Did you try to filter the dimensions only??
thanks for the reply
(dohh John beat me to it)
and if you try the "filter dimmensions" kelef
If you click the feature before you open equations it works nicely
select the dimension view filter in the equation manager all your dims are there, no need to click the model at all, just click the dimension name you want
or you can add equations direct from the modify dimension dialog

A shining example to all of SWX posting kind!
And look! Actual helpful responses!
Perhaps others will happen upon this humble and kind request for help and take note of it's pleasant nature.
But I wouldn't hold my breath!
You've just gotta love this !!!!!!
