The question I have is if there is a setting that would allow
me to check in a revised part to the next revision scheme (example
of part-A01 to part-A02), and then Automatically have PDMworks
change the assembly that the part is used in to be revised from
(example assem-01 to assem-02).
I know that if I check out the assembly and then check it in again with the new revised part it will go to the next revision number. But I would love it if anybody new how to set up PDMworks to change the assembly revision at the same time the part revision changes.

Example. Part A was spec to be spray painted. Now it will be powder coat paint. Part A is revised
...Sub-assembly 1 calls out Part A, so it is revised
....Sub-assembly 2 uses Sub-assembly 1, so sub-asm 2 would be revised
...sub-asm 3 calls out sub-asm 2, so it would be revised,.....etc. you get the idea.
The change to the part A does not affect of assembly 1, therefore assembly does not need to be revised.
I believe you need to re-think when you are revising parts, assemblies and drawings. IF the fit form or function of a part or assembly changes you need a new part number, not a new revision level.
my 2 cents.
