I'm running SW2016 and have noticed that variable patterns do not support hole wizard features. Has this been fixed in 2017? I end up working with a lot of irregular circular patterns involving holes, and variable patterns would be perfect if hole features were supported. I know I can do the same thing with a varied instance of a circular pattern, but then the edited instance is not very user friendly to anyone editing the part after me. You have to edit the circular pattern feature and interrogate individual instances to see or change the various angle positions. The tables in a variable pattern make it so much easier. Alternatively, I know the hole feature can be placed after the variable pattern, but you lose flexibility; adding/subtracting a pattern instance means manually editing the hole feature.
