    CNC Machining Toolpath Custom Appearances

      Hello all,

I am currently modeling a part in SolidWorks that I will be machining out of a sheet of 1/4" aluminum. I am trying to show a customer what an 1/8" deep fill into the aluminum will look like after CNC machining. I will be machining fills in the part using 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4" End Mills. Does anyone have a custom appearance or know how I could make a custom appearance that accurately depicts a hatch fill on the face of the machined portion of the aluminum part? The custom appearance would need to look like the recessed portion in the picture below (picture for representation, not my part). This is a island fill. I would be happy with an appearance that represents a hatch fill (a strictly horizontal or vertical toolpath). It would be great if I had a custom appearance for each of the end mills, 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4". Any help is much appreciated.CNC Part - Fill.jpg
