I've noticed in the last few days that SolidWorks has stopped prompting me to save a file. I can open a file, make a change & the asterisk appears next to the name in the top bar, I can then click the cross, File>Close or Ctrl+W & close the file & get no prompt at all. The file just closes & any changes are lost.
I can also start a new part, create some geometry & close it without being asked to save the new file.
Anyone know if this is a bug or if there is a setting I may have toggled on/off that may cause this? The files are not Read Only.

Scroll down to SolidWorks and rename it to SolidWorksCurrent. Now reopen Solidworks. everything going to be different. Now close solidworks and go back to the reg. Now change the new SoildWorks to SolidWorksNew. Now rename SolidWorksCurrent back to SolidWorks. This worked for me. wired way to do it but it worked
