I'm looking for a way to create/edit Custom Materials library i.e. adding new materials, updating properties and so on. I know that it is possible to edit the .SLDMAT file in Notepad as an XML file, but Ideally I'm looking for a way to import custom materials data into Solidworks using Excel spreadsheets, however I can't find a solution anywhere.

I've tried opening the .SLDMAT file as an XML file in Excel but that somehow messes up the mapping and no longer works once saved back into .SLDMAT.
