How to make an inner cavity a part (injection moulding)

    Vittorio Albertazzi

      Hi everybody,

I am designing two moulds for an injection moulding application. One mould is supposed to get all the features (by milling) and the other one should be a plane plate. I created the two moulds and then I joined them as a third new part in an assembly file. Now the part represents the moulds in closed position (ready to inject the plastic), and the cavity ob this object is what I will get out as the product of injection moulding. Is there a way to "extract" that cavity and make it an object itself?

Thanks in advance for the help
